Established in 2015
LOC Brewery is an initiative of Roy Maas (he left in 2018), Erwin Schellekens, Daniel Tano and Paul Cools. The four know each other because their children were in the same class, so they met in the schoolyard. In December 2014, LOC Brewery started brewing small amounts of beer. Since then, brewing has accelerated to meet the demand from tastings and events. The first beer was launched in June 2015.

Tap at the brewpub. Murky yellow pour with a white head. Nose is tropical fruity candies with some berry notes. Taste is fairly similar, but veeery muted, and it doesnt help that the body is not much either, wuite thinnish and astringent.

Bottle. Color: Very dark murky brown, thin mocha head. Aroma: Malty, raisins, dark fruit, licorice. Taste: Malty, raisins, licorice, dark dried fruit. Dark malt and roasted malt. Wheat, oat, Barley. Over moderate to medium sweet, light bitterness. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Quite dense and smooth mouthfeel. Nice Quad with a Stout twist.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark roasted malt, liquorice, cocoa, chocolate, coffee and mocha with some mild caramel. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and medium bitter. Alcohol is well-hidden, body is above medium. Nothing too complex but very easily drinkable smooth Impie, dark roast and coffee with chocolate and mocha. Could be a bit fuller, but good!

From tap at Mout fest Arnhem 2018. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee, some fruity notes from the orange peel, liquorice, and chocolate. More bitter than sweet, which I like. Body is above medium. Enjoyable Porter.
