We are named after the silver carp, the very fat fish roaming the rivers and lakes of Europe. Its shape resembles the body of one our brewers after he quit rowing. With all the fat he gained the nickname Lobik came included. From the look of things the whole team will earn the nickname rather soon.
The goal of the brewery from the very beginning has remained the same. It means making the beers we like to drink. Admittedly it means they are a bit heavy on the alcohol and complex with its tastes. Consequentially it means we use the highest quality of ingredients. Anyway, enough about us. We just hope you like our beers and drink them with the joy we do!

Lychee, mango, passion fruit, orange, grapefruit, tangerine. Had the pleasure to find this one canned two days before. Fruity and fresh.

330ml can thanks to herrklemann. Clear-ish golden amber with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, malts, bubblegum, resin. Taste is fruity, malts, caramel, resin, light sweet, mild bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation.

On tap at Lajbah, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa and medium toasted malt. Flavour is medium toasty, with some dry cocoa and toasted malt. Nicely structured, yet unspectacular. Solid.

On tap at Sir William's Pub, pours a deep dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out metallic notes and murky cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy malt, light cocoa and a metallic tinge. Not overly complex or deep but it works.

Bottle, 0.375l. Aroma of yeast, cereals, grape skin, overripe fruit, vinegar, faint solvent and funk. Pours hazy deep golden color with thin creamy off-white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, following is citrusy, peppery and funky, mouthfeel is crisp and dry, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, almost creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Wild, but good...

No foam to speak of but a very black body just like the ladies like them. Aroma of sweet oatmeal and a bit of roasted barley but nothing significant peaking through. Flavour is a soft and sweet affair of watered down syrup with a hint of bad Easter chocolate thrown in (you know, the kind of bargain chocolate at the dollar store that your great aunt insists on getting you each year around this time). Sugarwater finish. This stuff missing the mark on many levels.

Pours just slightly hazy amber, topped with larger and pretty lasting offwhite head. Very subtle nose with some mild fruits, a bit of bubble gum and very held back pine. Biscuity malty back with medium hoppy bitterness. Some sweetness upfront with herbal feeling in the finish and aftertaste. Lighter body. Simple and non-characteristic really.

On tap at Lajbah. Pours extra hazy and pale yellow body, almost like orange juice, topped with alrge and lasting frothy white head. Intense sweet fruity nose with lots of tropical fruits, mainly mango and orange. Pretty solid hoppy bitterness, a whole bunch of it, quite dry and herbal with lasting aftertaste. Medium bodied with very dry finish.

Bottle, 0.375l. Aroma of grape skin, red wine, yeast, blueberry and mild funk. Hazy ruby brown color with totally diminishing off-white head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts sour vinous and yeasty, follows by mildly sweet blueberries, mouthfeel is crisp, while tanins are pretty much felt at finish. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Brave decision to brew such a special beer. Outcome justifies that my fears were useless...

On tap at Sir William's Pub 20th anniversary. Pours extra hazy and pale yellow-golden, topped with smaller white head, superb lacing. Intense and very pleasant tropical fruit aroma - pineapple, mango, peach and lots of citruses. Medium bitterness wit hfruity sweetness. Dry finish with longer bittery aftertaste. Very fresh and a bit fuller in body. Great one. Juicy as hell.
