Description
It all started when we were fifteen and couldn’t buy beer after rowing trainings. We decided to make our own because why not? It took a long eight years of studying, brewing, experimenting and working our asses off. And than we finally reached the point where we were happy with our brew and decided to open a proper brewery. Thus the Lobik Brewery was born. It took another two years of heavy debts and unpaid working hours until our hard work paid off. We were recognised as one of the best breweries in the region.

We are named after the silver carp, the very fat fish roaming the rivers and lakes of Europe. Its shape resembles the body of one our brewers after he quit rowing. With all the fat he gained the nickname Lobik came included. From the look of things the whole team will earn the nickname rather soon.

The goal of the brewery from the very beginning has remained the same. It means making the beers we like to drink. Admittedly it means they are a bit heavy on the alcohol and complex with its tastes. Consequentially it means we use the highest quality of ingredients. Anyway, enough about us. We just hope you like our beers and drink them with the joy we do!

On tap at Pivomanija. Pours very hazy yellow, topped with medium small white head. Citrusy character with lots of lemon in the nose. Malty back is well held back, gentler bitterness. Dry finish with longer and gentle aftertaste. Light and fresh. Decent stuff.

0,33 l can. Pours murky golden yellow with big frothy lasting head. Huge hop nose! Aroma is full of fruit, mango, tangerine, grapefruit, passion fruit. Fruit aroma practically hides malt at over 6% ABV. Flavor follows aroma, I can't remember last beer with so much hop flavor. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium, texture slick, carbonation average. Finish is extra long, starts fruity and ends up with decent everlasting bitterness. Hop forward beer and a great one at that.

Pours dark amber with just a slight haze and a small nonlasting white head. Fruity nose with apples and pears, some citrus tropics as well and quite flowery later on. Malty with biscuits and slight caramel, balanced by medium bitterness. Short aftertaste. Fresh and medium bodied. Nice one.

On tap at Pivo & Burger Fest. Pours hazy orange, topped with medium white head. Very lovely citrusy nose with grapefruit and lemon. Taste has some hints of citrusy character, taken over by sweet flowery feel and balanced by maltiness. Shorter and gentler aftertaste. Not bad, but not exactle there.

Pours hazy orange color, topped with average sized but nicely lasting offwhite head. Gentle nose with biscuity malt infornt, some peach and apriocot notes later on but way too gentle. Medium body seem much fuller, starting with increasing and sharp hernal bitterness. Lasting aftertaste that dabs the tongue with herbal character. Not unpleasant, but not too good either.

On tap at Sir William’s Pub. Pour hazy and pale orange, topped with a medium off-white head, lasting. Fruity notes with melon and lychee, slight shampoo feel to it. Later more citruses develop in the nose. Sweet fruits start, somewhat flowery with medium mild bitterness in the finish. Medium dry with lasting aftertaste.
