Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, dark brown with a faint orange hue and a beige head. Nose has overpowering cloves and star anise. Rich, sweet body with a low carbonation. Some roastiness, licorice and then this bucketload of Xmas spices. No real bitterness. 090922

Bottle 50 cl. Very fizzy pour. Pours an opaque black with a rich and frothy beige head. Very spicy nose of anise, cardamom and cloves. Medium body, fizzy. Excessive clove notes, bordering medicinal. No real bitterness. Christmas spiciness gone whacko. 060922

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a warm, nutty brown with a slight haze and a small, beige head. Very dusty, moldy aroma. Medium body, fizzy mouthfeel, slightly nutty and caramel sweet, but dominated by the moldy accents. A light bitterness. 060922

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an alost clear amber with an off-white head. Peachy nose, a little greasy. Medium body, fizzy mouthfeel, somewhat fusty, nutty touch - and then a roaring, herbal, astringent bitterness. Brutal! Nothing Belgian here, label says IPA, which I guess is closer to the truth. 050922

Bottle 50 cl. Called a Lager Stout, whatever that is. Pours an opaque black with a frothy, beige head with a good retention. Lime/ginger aroma paired with roastiness - pretty excentric. Medium body, fizzy mouthfeel. Again roastiness and lime which is a rather odd combination. Little bitterness. Sort of drinkable. 050922

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a smallish, off-white head. Dusty, grainy or even moldy aroma. Medium body, dry caramel accents, but again moldy notes. Bitter finish. 050922

Bottle 50 cl. Mold under the crown cork, hmm...Very fizzy pour. Cloudy, opaque amber with a rough, off-white head. Some caramel in the nose paired with a metallic touch. Extremely fizzy mouthfeel. Dry caramel notes paired with nuts and a slightly bitter finish. Not so well executed. 050922

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Hazy dark brown, small head. Perfumy nose with nutmeg and star anise. Mid sweet with medium to full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and lots of nutmeg. Pinry bitter finish. Overspiced and aggressive.
