Draught Good dense & fine off-white head over fully muddy orange-ochre beer. Chinese herbs, some citrus, as entering a toko with a microbrewery inside. Vegetable bitterness, again herbal/spicy. Bitterness is also partly pharmaceutical, definitely un-hoppy. Asafoetida warming up and coriander in the aftertaste. Yeast-filled, hopoil slick, not very carbonated. Far from a perfect example of its style, IMO.

Draft tasting glass @ Gollem. Hazy citrus, small white head. Nose is orange juice smoothie, orange peel,… Surprisingly bitter taste, oily aspirin, haze, tropical & orange juice smoothie, stone fruit, faint milky, quite fair, bit too bitter.

473ml can. Pours an almost clear dark brown with amber edges and a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, ash and hazelnut with bitter coffee in a dry finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Another tasty and well made beer from yet another nascent Cowtown brewing concern.

Hazy light amber. Froths up quite a bit...odd for a barley wine. So tart and poopy on the nose...sanitation issue I'm thinking. Tart, not much malt left...overcarbonated, Again, a touch of pedio. Gotta be a sanitation thing. Is there a good beer underneath of all this? Not sure.

Can 473ml (Brgm)
Clear amber colour, big cloudy off-white head and some lace. Piney, grassy with some fruits in the nose. Medium-bodied. Riped tropical fruits, pine, honey in the flavour. Doesn't feel particulary fresh - hoppy bitterness has gone, especially dry hops. Ok maltyness, ABV is not shown.
