We do our best work under stress. So with this brew, we knew we wanted to brew a bold stout but had no idea what we wanted to add to it... until four days after it went into the fermenter. This stout is bold and flavourful, with a nice smooth and roasty character that lets the additives shine. There's no minute, like the last minute.

Cocoa and coconut nose. Pitch black, small and steady creamy tan head, good lacing. Aroma roasted malt, cocoa, mocha, coconut, vanilla, brown sugar. Retronasal coconut, taste light heavy sweet and a light bitter, malty, dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, light roast. Sweet and slightly bitter aftertaste, nutty, chocolate and coconut, spicy notes, roasty malt touch at the end. Medium bodied, oily, average carbonation, rich and sturdy, quite good.

Thnx to Geert. Pours black. Small white head. Smell is chocolaty, caramel. Taste is full, caramel, aged chocolate. Spicy, not that thick. Mild vanilla. OK, but I expected way more. Kinda taste like aged chocolate.

473ml can. Jet black colour with huge, frothy, settling, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, chocolately malty, slightly doughy yeasty aroma with additional spicy notes of coconut, maple sirup, cinnamon, vanilla, pecan, walnut. Taste is sweet dark malty with predominance of additives like coconut, vanilla, maple sirup, pecan, walnut; slightly dry and minimally bitter roasty, nutty finish.

473 ml. can. Black – lighter if that is possible with very non-lasting head. Nose is super coconut in a low artificial way with sweet mocha, coffee, low sweeter nuts. Taste is low fake but nice coconut chocolate mocha, hazelnut, chocolate, low fake but super delicious candy-bar taste, mocha, sweet nuts, hazelnut, pecan, sweet low candy bar, good but not very thick bodied brew. Overall super tasty candy bar-like brew.

473ml can from La Tana 2.0, Brussels. Smooth, sweet and slightly roasty with loads of cocoa, vanilla, white chocolate, hazelnuts and milky creamy notes. Pretty good.

473ml can. Pours an almost clear dark brown with amber edges and a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, chocolate, toffee, vanilla, ash and hazelnut with bitter coffee in a dry finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Another tasty and well made beer from yet another nascent Cowtown brewing concern.
