Can. Pale golden amber with a white head. Aroma of apples, pears, weeds. A touch of caramel in the taste too, although it's only slightly sweet. A little earthy and weedy bitterness.

Aromas of pineapple, salada biscuits and pine needles. Very soft pine in the mouth, with a velvety mouthfeel. A very nice entry-level WCIPA to get your lager-loving mates started on.

Can, 11C - maybe a little colder would have been better. Misted pale gold with a frothy cm of white head. Aroma of white grapes, crackers, gooseberry, pineapple. Quite sweet with mainly fruity aromatics before a bit of resin creeps in towards the fairly bitter finish. Pretty good.

Can from IGA Ormstown. Pours hazed dark gold with an orange tinge, beige foam. Soft with malt caramel, marmalade notes. Grassy finish. Quite mild bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation. A nice enough drop, but it’s a bit tame to be advertised as a WCIPA.

Can. Dark brown with a fluffy beige head that lasts pretty well. Aroma is roasty with caramel, mocha, cereals. So it tastes. A bit spicy and moderately bitter at the end. Fair enough.

Aromas of toffee, caramel, biscuit, citrus and a little raisin. Nice rich toffee flavour in the mouth with some light bitterness coming through. Very enjoyable.

Can. Dark brown with a fluffy inch of light tan head. Choc-malt aroma with doughy bread, hints of spices. Rich and sweet with more chocolate than roast before a welcome firmer than expected bitterness that's slightly spiced. Solid stuff.

Aromas of biscuit, grapefruit and passionfruit. Similar in the mouth with a nice bitter finale. Solid but unspectacular WCIPA.

If Coopers Red is a Blonde/ Golden, so is this. Canvent. Slightly cloudy gold with a good inch of pretty well-retained white head and a torrent of bubbles. Aroma is weedy with light bread, pears, hints of oldish citrus. Perhaps some apple & quince in the taste. Quite dry at the end. Bitterness is much lower than Coopers Sparkling Ale. Not bad, very yeast-driven.
