Bottle picked up today at the brewery. Pours out a orangish topped with a white head. Nose is light pine citrus earthy notes and sweet malt. Taste is more of the light pine hops and some earthy malts.

On tap at the Hotel Glockenhof, Zurich. A golden amber pour with a loose white head; grainy aroma; grainy body with a honey sweetness; and a clean grassy finish. A pleasant Helles.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. A light spring beer, but a rather unbalanced one. Aggressive carbonation followed by some Hagebutte sourness, but very low. No harmony.

Tap at Hafenkneipe. A pretty standard but decent IPA. Nothing exciting in any way, except I didn’t know this brewery actually had something like that.

Bottle. Very atypical for a Hefeweizen: No noticeable wheat, a quickly dying head, very little residual banana, but quite crisp. Some malts, some hops, but not much. Due to the carbonization I don’t feel much else though.

No head building, fully hazy yellow-ochre beer. Fainly spicy, bit dull, ditrus, banana, clove, lightly melon. Sourish, again faintly spicy and lots & lots of yeastesters, clove. Ends a bit dead. Light body, light wheatslickness, seems undercarbonated , certainly for an Hefeweizen. The head missing might be due to the glass, rather than to a brewing fault. Still not special. Txs to Geoff!

Very huge, very stable & dense yellowish heead, leaving shards of lace over yellow-orange beer. Hoppy nose, bit spicy (peppery), herbal, carrots. Quite bitter, hoppy flavour with noble hops too. Just the finish is a tad harsh, getting quinine-like. Bit astringent, light body, medium carbonaton after all the headbuilding. Certainly not spectacular, but still a decent IPA. Txs to Geoff!

Small, fast gone yellowish head over reddish/amber beer. Fresh herbs as parsley, caramel, lightly coloured malts. Sweet caramel, parsley, caramelized mushrooms. Light body with a faint slickness. Ubiquitous. Thanks to Geoff!
