On tap @ Zwei Brüder. A touch hazy, light golden yellow appearance with a white head. Tropical fruit, light onion/garlic, lemon, and dank notes in the aroma. Light body. Hint of butter. A little doughy. Lots of typical fruit in the flavor. Unfortunately, it’s just a little too messy and the butter doesn’t help.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder. Dark golden, clear appearance with a white head. The aroma is spicy, piney, and has some tropical fruits. Dull carbonation. Pretty damn spicy from the hops and rye. Lemon, pine, grass, and mango in the flavor. A bit disjointed. OK.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder. Dark orangish brown, clear appearance with an off white head. Aroma has toffee, brown sugar, and a hint of fruit. A little sweet. Noticeable cauliflower and mild veggie flavor in the mouth. A little goopy. Slightly acidic. Not too enjoyable and easily my least favorite so far here.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder. Clear golden appearance with a white head. The aroma exhibits spicy, tropical fruity hops, mango, cracker, and a bit of grass. Medium light body. Nice malt expression. Lemon, pineapple, mango. Juicy. A little aspirin/chalk. Kind of a fun beer.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Pours a clear, dark orange appearance with a cream head. Lots of tropical fruit - mango, papaya, pineapple - in the nose. Slight floral notes as well. Medium full body. Moderately high sweetness and bitterness. A bit of mint / spruce spiciness in the mouth. Candy / smartees notes as well. A bit on the strong side. A little goopy. Not all that bad tasting but a little too sticky / gooey / candy-like for my taste.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Dark orangish brown appearance with an off white head. The aroma has some toffee and caramel but it has a surprisingly spicy / piney happiness to it as well. Maybe a touch of citrus. Again, it’s surprisingly hop forward in the mouth. Some cookie and caramel sweetness. Low carbonation. My least favorite as it’s a little messy. Ok.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Burnt orange / brown appearance with a tan head. Honey roasted nuts, caramel, pecans, and toffee in the nose - smells nice. Carbonation is a bit dull. The flavor is a bit buttery though I don’t think it’s diacetyl. More of a buttery caramel flavor. Lots of toffee and mild earthy hops. Malt forward as expected and the sweetness is held in check well. Drinks just fine.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Cloudy light yellow appearance with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and white pepper. There is some pear and banana in the nose as well, but it’s more spice driven. Soft mouthfeel. A little doughy and bready. Some soap / perfume. Pretty low sweetness. Some floral hop bite on the finish. Carbonation is a touch dull. Just a wee bit tart. Pretty clean. Not bad but I’m a little picky with the German Hefeweizen style.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Pretty light yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma is spicy, very floral, and full of perfume. Lots of cracker in the nose as well. Very crisp and clean flavor. Spicy hops. Low sweetness. Moderate high bitterness. Soft, sort of slick mouthfeel. Very clean flavor with plenty of spiciness and grassy malts. Solid brew. I’d definitely order another pint or two of this.

On tap @ Zwei Bruder in Fort Collins. Pours a clear golden appearance with a white head. The aroma is quite clean. Some perfume and flowers. Cracker. Lemon. Slight bit of noodle. Medium light body. Low sweetness. Moderately low bitterness. The flavor is a little grassy and slightly doughy with just a hint of citrus / fruits. A touch soapy. Clean finish. Not much on the aftertaste. Nothing too special but it’s clean and easy drinking.
