Description
Brewery started in 1984 as Hoskins and Oldfield. During 2001 the brewery became inoperable, beers are being brewed by them at Lloyds Country Beers Ltd and Belvoir Brewery Ltd. The brewery was renamed to Hoskins Brothers in March 2002. Beer was by September 2002 being contract brewed at Tower Brewery. During the second half of 2005 brewing moved to Winchester Arms and Buckland Brewery and is currently at Monstex.

Cask at the Ale Wagon, Leicester, 08/10/21. Copper with a good sized just off white covering. Nose is dried fruits, brown bread, malty, nutty. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, dates, dusty fruits, earthy, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent bitter.

Half-pint, cask ale at Ale Wagon. Shared with Finn. Bright golden body, bubbles to the rim, spotty lacing. Mid-dry fruity aroma. Moderate taste profile of bread and some lemony hints. Short ending of mid-sweet fruits. Average stuff. (10.02.2019).

Cask ale at Ale Wagon in Leicester. Shared with Finn. Bright amber coloured body, filmy layer, clingy lacing. Moderate aroma of fruity caramel. Malt-fruity taste, hints of nuts, caramel and leafy hops. Bittersweet end. Decent bitter. (10.02.2019).

cask ale at Ale Wagon in Leicester. Shared with Finn. Clear warm golden body, filmy layer, fair lacing. Moderate canned fruity smell. Peaches and biscuit to the taste profile. Rounded bittersweet finish. Pretty standard Brit bitter. (10.02.2019).

Thanks to jjsint for sharing with Finn and me. On keg at Ale Wagon. A beige head over a deep rosewood body. Bubbly ring to the rim. Dark malty nose, semi-sweet. Rather powerful taste of toffee, chocolate and almond. Woody. Smooth,, mid-sweet malt-driven end. Well bodied. A nice one. (10.02.2019).

Delt med Rune i hyggelig samvær med jjsint. Mørk gyldenbrun. Filmskum. Lett ferskenaroma. Smaken karamell. Lite annet.
