On tap @ As Is, in Hell’s Kitchen. 7% Stemware. Opaque, golden pour. Smells of creamy yeast, macerated melon, pears, gum. Thin, solid acid, cheese funk, twinge of vinegar, acetone, bittersweet apples. A little underfermented. Girlfriend tasted whiskey. Started out okay. Love the premise, but wild results are so iffy.

On tap @ Spuytin Duyvil for NYC Cider Week. Fat taster/goblet pour. Pale, straw, chill hazed brew. Bold floral & yeast aromas. Strong grape, apricot & bubblegum flavors. Moderate acid, lightly bittersweet. Ever so gentle cider vinegar sweetness. Chalky, thin mouthfeel. Their website mentioned a 2014 batch was oak aged, but I'm not sure if this is from the same seed. Can't taste it. Either way, this is a much better offering then the "Dive Bar" offering I had a while back. Very tasty. Good job you two.

Fat goblet @ As Is NYC. Cloudy, yellow, juicy good-looking brew. Smells of apple skins, melon and plaster spackle. Taste is almost identical. Apple skins, heavy tannins, plaster spackle. Dry mouth sort of dry. The finish lingers with that same plaster/paint drying & you can taste it in your mouth sort of thing. Oh, I know, it's the pith inside pomegranates. Pretty spot on. Not so great, but the body & feel are all there. Good luck guys.
