This was bottled in 2023 and may have turned, unfortunately. Very sour, almost vinegary. Bone dry. Still nice black walnut flavor and not unpleasant to drink.

375ml bottle at Spuytin for cider week. Single varietal. Still & dry. Wine glass pour. Clear, brown, shiny brew. Smells of maple & warm toast covered in sour apple butter jam. Maybe some muted spices. Taste is tart apples, turning muddled & maple-y. Moderate acid. Cinnamon(is it really there?). Runny, mead-esque body. Dry finish. Lingering juicy flavor. Softer then the 11% would suggest. Interesting.

On tap @ Honey’s mead bar in Brooklyn. There was a little collaboration on this I believe I heard. Stange glass. Slightly chill hazed straw-colored draft pour. Very yeasty in scent as well as flavor. Carbonic, dusty texture. Saline. Alkaline apples. Decent, if too straight forward.
