(bottle, 33cl) Almost black coloured hue with a brown and firm mid-sized foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of chocolate, mocha, vanilla and leather, accompanied by discreetly fruity accents. Mildly bitter and delicately sour flavour, very light bodied with a smooth carbonation. Slim, dark and roast-malty base with hints of chocolate and coffee, fruity accents gaining weight towards the mildly roasty bitter and slightly sour finish. Very aromatic nose, but the rest is rather mediocre. 27.VII.16

Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Cara-malt character, slightly bready and toasted taste, backed by a whiff of herbal hops, giving the right balance towards the sweet and mildly bitter hoppy finish with caramel in the aftertaste. 27.VI.16

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, greenish golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Grainy pale malty aroma with mildly herbal spicy hoppy spots. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry pale malt character with grainy notes, as well as present herbal hoppy spice, leading into a dry and moderately slim herbal hoppy finish with grainy accents in the aftertaste. (bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Distinctively banana-fruity aroma with notes of vanilla, bubblegum, a tinge of yeasty spice and a moderately malty and wheaty background. Moderately sweet and delicately sour flavour, medium bodied with a mildly sparkling carbonation. Present wheat character with notes of banana, shy mineralic accents and a discreetly phenolic spicy touch, backed by mildly citric and cautious resiny hops; moderately sweet and slightly sour-fruity finish with a discreetly hoppy bitterness and a muted alcoholic strength. Bottle from the source. AFRICOM conference tasting. Opaque dark brown color, beige head. Aroma has cocoa powder and coffee grounds. Taste is lightly roasty, slightly smoky, very dry, light body. Interesting.
