Aromas are dark malt, toffee, molasses and a bit of roast. Flavors are similar to nose and balanced. Very nice dark beer. Bittersweet with just right carbonation. Very slightly sweet finish.

Can, from Warehouse Liquors, Chicago IL. Pours hazy rich golden with a foamy off-white head, citrus peel-pineapple aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel taste, a bit of pineapple flavor, thin body, lomg finish. Solid NEIPA.
I miss false idol so much! Delicious dry forward strong ale, chocolate bourbon cake notes all over.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Chestnut brown pour. Frothy tan head. Spotty lacing. Toasted malt aroma hints at caramel and dark dried fruits. Flavor is bittersweet and toasty. Obvious notes of toasted walnuts, dark brown sugar, sweet figs and warming alcohol. Bittersweet chocolate finish. Really well done.

Pint can, 2024 vintage. Chocolate aroma with notes of vanilla, roasted malt and coffee. Pours deep brown with half a finger of mocha brown head that has good retention and lacing. Starts with rich roasted malt and chocolate flavors as well as having a rich, full body and silky smooth mouthfeel. Finishes impeccably smooth with vanilla and coffee flavors. Decadent and lots of vanilla, excellent vanilla stout.

Sweet, Juicy, Citrus, Fruity, Moderately Dirty Dank, Slight Alcohol Sting, Moderate Hop Bitter. Juicy, Citrus, Resinous Spiciness, Moderate Dirty Dank, Moderate Hop Bitter Aftertaste. Moderate Alcohol Heat Considering ABV. Smooth And Easy Going... Not Sure What's Up With Label and Name As There Was Nothing Even Close Back in '88... Other Than That Pretty Good. Enjoyed It.
