(Can, 0.473l - canned on 03.11.2022, thanks tiong, at VastActiv, 20230105) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, resin and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, resin, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Very dry. A delicious hoppy brew with good bitter finish.

473ml can. Slick, sweetish and juicy tropical fruity with some oily floral hops, pine, grass and herbal notes, hints of berries, dankness and resin. Could've used a bit more body or bitterness, feels a bit thin

500ml bottle. Intense with barrel notes, some wheaty bourbon, oak, syrup and roastiness. Pretty good.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated November 04, 2022. Aroma is fairly hop forward and pretty dank. Lots of grapefruit pith, oily, dank resin, berry notes and hints of tropical fruit and onion. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear, bright, yellow-gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Moderately high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of berry notes and lighter notes of grapefruit pith, dank, resin notes and hints of tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid West Coast IPA. Like other Slice beers these aren't super malt forward and not overly bitter. Really nice berry hop notes in the aroma and flavor balanced with a pretty strong dank note. Not a bright, juicy, tropical fruit IPA.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 20, 2022. Aroma is hop forward with tons of Nelson character. Lots of gooseberry, passion fruit, white wine notes and hints of tropical citrus. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant, yellow-gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Moderately high bitterness and light alcohol notes. Lots of gooseberry and passion fruit notes with lighter notes of white wine and tropical citrus. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid IPA. I love Nelson hops and this ara is great. Malt profile is there but somewhat light. Alcohol and bitterness are fairly light as well allowing the hops to really shine.

Poured from an undated 16 oz can. Aroma is fairly hop forward and fruity with passion fruit, guava, tropical citrus, tangerine and lighter notes of gooseberry and dank, oily notes. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a hazy, pale, yellow straw color with a medium sized, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol notes. Fairly hop forward and fruity with a juicy fruit notes along with lots of passion fruit, guava, tropical citrus, tangerine and lighter notes of gooseberry and dank, oily resin. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid IPA. Great juicy hop notes with light malt notes and balanced bitterness and alcohol notes. I like this hop profile, but I don't pick up much of the classic nelson hop character.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 05, 2022. Aroma is hop forward with gooseberry, passion fruit, berry notes, white wine and light citrus notes. Hints of oily, dank resin notes. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a hazy, dull, golden straw color with a medium sized, fairly thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Fairly hop forward with lots of gooseberry, berry, white wine and passion fruit notes with lighter notes of tropical citrus and oily, dank resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid IPA. I'm not sure what makes this a West Coast style hazy IPA as it seems like a pretty standard hazy IPA. Maybe it has a bit lighter, drier malt profile. Either way it's very nice and I really like the hop profile. Balanced alcohol and bitterness notes.
