Tap. Dark golden, surprisingly clear. Bread and butter; cold sweet butter. This translates into the taste, too. Its not bad, though. Balanced.

Bottle at the brewpub, Tiefenellern. Pours hazy amber with airy bit stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast, and banana. Sweetish flavour of malt and banana, with estery and grainy notes and hoppy touches. Sourish, grainy aftertaste with malty notes. High carbonation. Well, a decent beer for the style.

Bottle from Meibier. Light hazy blond colour, white foam. My first unfiltered Heller Bock. Light sweet, hints of honey, a bit bready, soft carbonation. Very easy drinkable. Great bock.

Bottle. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, mildly herbal, sweetish malts. Taste is juicy malts, herbal hops, quite nice counterpoint there, but overall a bit thin. Oily mouthfeel with sparkly carbonation. Alright, not too impressive.

Preussen (NRW) Fläschla: Deep golden, hazy to cloudy, medium-sized and quite stable firm off-white head, robust dryish grainy-fruity nose with a slight - franconian - barnyardy touch, mild and dry bitterness underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, as soft as expected; relatively dry fruity and grainy bitter-sweet finish. Another well-balanced, well drinkable franconian masterpiece...
