Tap at Old Fashioned. Filtered classic appearance..yellow tan, slight greenish hue. Thin, oily head. Kind of off buttery malt and noble hop tones. Really unappealing, dirty trash off flavors. Sessionable schwag.

On tap at Old Fashioned as "Smoked Porter". Deep brown-black, opaque, with a steady beige head. Mellow, subdued (under)carbonation. More roast and chocolate than smoke. Sweet, sort of unrefined. Not bad, just sort of boring, not much depth.

On tap at St. Francis. Super hazy yellow, almost light green-tan. Thin, creamy white head. Pronounced clove, candy banana aroma. Yeast forward, as to style. Lots of fresh banana tones. Light to medium bodied, quite a pleasant example of the style. A nice clove bitterness in the aftertaste...grassy spearmint. Spot on, great example.

On tap at St. Francis. Thick opaque brown black. Steady thick beige head. An odd creature, true to style I suppose. Nitro pour, rich and creamy, somewhat watery body. Underlying lactose, quite thick tones. Refreshingly one dimensional, works well with the nitro. Mellow, grows on you a lot. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Not the wildest example, buy very nice and tasty.

murky brown porter with a thin brown head. In aroma, a strange burned peanuts, coffee grinds, chick peas. In mouth, a sweet mix of chocolate and balsamic vinegar, ashes, bizarre, nothing to have pride about.... On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 21 2012.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown with a gray head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has noted of butterscotch and roasted malts that don’t meld. Flavor has a stong note of butter scotch with just a hint of dark grains and roasted malt.
