808 Brewery Helles 5% Nice clear gold with a lightly sweet bready aroma. Medium bodied with a crisp biting herbal bitter finish and a honeyed malt base. Good stuff.

Can from last 6 months ago. Rich nose, coffee, nuts, vanilla, chocolate, grape juice fruitiness. Black with a pretty brown, rocky head. Fruity, chocolatey, coffee, macadamia nuts, complex and balanced. Bitter roasted finish. Neither too sweet not too heavy. Nice one from a new brewery.

Quite spicy. Perhaps it’s a bit old so I won’t score. Clove. Not as nice as I’d hoped

Nice stuff. Chocolate, nutty, can’t get any strength. Light spice there.

Nice. Light smokiness about it somehow. Got the malty sweetness thing going on of course.

Can. Nice fruity hops, West Coast style, citrus, stone fruit, lightly tropical and some pine. Sweet, biscuity malt flavor, zesty hops with rich stone fruits and a bitter, slightly resinous finish. Good.

Can. Clear medium gold with a tall fine head. Mineral nose, crackers, herbs, dry and subtle. Brady malt, stone fruit esters, dry and bitter finish. More body and malt character than the 3% saison, but less hop and yeast character. Pretty decent but not as impressive as the Table Saison.

Can from the brewery, mail order. Almost clear pale gold with a weak, bubbly head. Nice nose of citrusy hops, estery yeast, bready grains. Light malt character, nicely hoppy, spicy, lemony. The hops work well with the yeast. Malt is thin, for sure, but it works darn well for a low-abv saison. Crisp and refreshing, with a hoppy, slightly fizzy finish and decent bitterness. Well done.

Looks quite thin as you’d expect from the strength. Quite pale too. Big aroma of yuzu and expected it to be a bit juicy. Taste is decent though. Peppery and light saison element. Alright!
