(Keg at Bruuveri, 20170126) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had liquorice, burnt malts and ash. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were dark chocolate, liquorice, burnt malts, oiliness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, ashy and bitter. A tasty roasty brew that had no gimmicks.

Draught at Grunewoche. Black with a short tan head. Aroma is heavy in the malt. Flavour is heavy on the malt, chocolate and fruit.

Tap at Bruuveri, Helsinki. Colour is cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Grain, some harshness and malts. Simple but drinkable.

Tap at Bruuveri. Golden color, small steady white head. Aroma has pear, malts and grain. Light to medium-bodied. Hoppy pils with underlying pear fruityness. Long lingering bitterness. Ok but with some odd pear notes. Recipe could be from Mr. Sysilä’s heritage.

(Keg at Bruuveri, 20161203) The beer poured golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, pine and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were pine, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, dry and bitter. A good hoppy brew that dried quickly.

Trooppisen hedelmäinen, tasapainoinen. Hieman liian kylmänä tarjoiltu Bruuverissa.

Aavistuksen utuinen, hailakan kullankeltainen olut paksun kermaisella vaahdolla. Maku hedelmäinen, maltaisen makea, sopivan raikas. Erittäin laadukas, ei kalpene belgiveljien rinnalla juuri lainkaan.

Samean utuinen, vaaleahkonkeltainen olut runsaalla ja tiiviillä, pienikuplaisella valkoisella ja runsaasti pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Erittäin kaunis olut kokonaisuudessaan. Tuoksu sitruksinen, hedelmäisen belgihiivainen ja raikas. Maultaan sitruksisen hedelmäinen ja belgihiivainen sekä kivasti jenkkihumaloidun katkera. Keskitäyteläinen, kuiva ja hiilihappoisen raikas suutuntuma. Oikein kiva ja raikas, kivasti belgiotteella paranneltu IPA.

Musta olut kohtalaisella, pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Miedossa tuoksussa paahteisuutta, mutta en onnistu löytämään siitä juuri muuta. Maku paahteinen, hieman karamellisen suklainen ja loppupuoleltaan katkeramman kahvinen. Keskiasteisen hiilihappoinen, katkeran kahvinen jälkimaku. Ihan kiva. Ehkä hieman liian kylmää suoraan hanasta ja suutuntuma menee melkein turhan kevyeksi.
