Inspired by the European classics and the modern American hop forward beers, Ophiussa Brewing Company was born in February of 2021 with the mission of brewing great beers for everyone. The production site is located in Setúbal and is equipped with a 6 hl brewhouse, 5 and 10 hl unitanks and a small canning line.

AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with tropical notes (pineapple), slight blueberry, melon and passionfruit and pine. medium-low supportive neutral malt background and slightly sweet. slight alcoholic note. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. medium-low white head with average retention. slight leg formation. TASTE: initial medium to medium-high hop notes (melon, pine, slight passionfruit and blueberry) followed by medium-low neutral malt background with slight sweetness. medium-high bitterness with a semi-dry to dry and bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. slight alcoholic warmth and smooth. slight astringency. OVERALL: a by the book DIPA.

Cette bière est vraiment sympa ! D'un noir intense, elle dégage des arômes torréfiés et chocolatés, avec une subtile touche lactée. En bouche, on découvre un mélange équilibré de saveurs de chocolat noir, de café et de notes de caramel et de vanille. Bien qu'elle ne révolutionne pas le genre, c'est une bière agréable à déguster. Alors, n'hésitez pas à vous laisser tenter par cette expérience gustative. Santé !

AROMA: medium-high notes of cocoa, slight coffee, vinous-hot, light coconut, chocolate. APPEARANCE: very dark brown to black body with no head. small white particles in suspension and at the surface. TASTE: initial medium-high sweet chocolate, vinous, cocoa with faint vanilla and coconut. medium-low bitterness with a semi-sweet finish that evolves to dry. MOUTHFEEL: silky texture with low carbonation. alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: an interesting spiced imperial stout but where the barrel character was not detected.

AROMA: medium-high mezcal aroma with its characteristic smoke. very faint dark chocolate note in the background. unbalanced. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and totally opaque. low brown head with no retention. leg formation. TASTE: low initial pepper flavour mixed with slightly sweet chocolate and coffee notes, quickly overthrown with medium-high smoky mezcal. medium to medium-high bitterness with a somewhat roasty and mezcal-smoky finish. MOUTHFEEL: full body and silky. medium-low carbonation. medium-low hot sensation from chilli and a smooth alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a barrel aged with excessive barrel character.

Can at tasting. Slightly reddish hue, smoothie looks. Strawberry and mango with refreshing lime finishing off. You could eat this with a spoon, so thick. Creamy and slightly tart berry smoothie.

44cl Blik, dank (?) Joost! Tja, wat moet je hier nou van vinden..? Ziet er werkelijk niet uit, een soort vies lichtpaars gekleurd smurfensnot, geen kraag, paar belletjes erin. Het smoothie gehalte is zeer hoog, gezien de sporen die het achterlaat in het glas. Geur en smaak zijn, eerlijk is eerlijk, echt wel lekker, stoofperen, hint van steranijs, kaneel, glühwein, heel licht zuurtje. Extreem dik mondgevoel, wat het een uiterst 'interessante' proefervaring geeft. Lachwekkend dat dit nog bier mag heten.
