Description
In 1878 Master Brewer William Gideon Åberg and his wife Onni founded a brewery in Iisalmi. At that time, there were some 78 breweries in Finland. Olvi is the only one left in independent Finnish ownership.

0,5l can from Olvi as a sample, enjoyed @ Räpäkön Apaja. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is sweet malts. Flavor is sweet clean malts with alcohol and hops. Decent.

0,5l can as a sample from Olvi, shared @ Räpäkön Apaja. Pours clear golden with a high head. Aroma is sweet fruity malts. Flavor is fruity malts with some hops. Good basic APA.

Appearance: Golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Malt, grain, hops, grass.
Body: Light body, medium carbonation.

Sandels Premium Beer, 4,7 %, 33-cl-Dose, auf Finnair-Flug nach Seoul. - Goldgelb, blank. - Nase etwas matt hellmalzig. - Antrunk recht süß hellmalzig, Anklänge an Rosinenbrot. Milde aber ausreichende herbale und leicht zitronige Hopfung. - Mildes, rundes Industrielager, etwas süßer als üblich aber noch ausreichend gehopft. Gar nicht so übel. (7.9.2024.)

Klar gylden med hvitt skum som daler sakte. Aroma sitrus furunål humle lett syrlig epler pære malt. Smak sitrus eple humle pære gjær salt karamell. Fin fylde, fruktig, moderat bitter, balansert, tørr. Boks delt med Synny

Krystallklar golden med offwhite middels høy topp som daler sakte. Aroma; malt, gress, appelsin, sitrus, pære, karamell, furunål. Smak; eple, furunål, pære,humle, appelsin, sitrus, salt karamell. Fruktig, balansert. Kort ettersmak, halv tørr avslutning. Moderat bitter. Delt med Leif.

0,5l can from Uulan Säästö, enjoyed @ Lapinkylä. Pours clear golden with some flotsam and a medium head. Aroma is dry bitter malts with some pine. Flavour is dry and bitter malts with some pine, some hops. Good.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Grapefruity nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and doughy with some tangerine. Resinous bitter finish.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Clear pale amber, small head. Husky bready nose. Sweetish with ligt body and clean mouthfeel. Grainy bread. Hints of hay. Mid bitter finish.
