Description
Viru Brewery was Estonia's third largest brewery, and produced the Wiru, Puls, Žiguli and various other brands. It was located in Haljala in Lääne-Viru County.

Production of beer was discontinued in 2020.

Bottle 0.5l. Clear, dark red to brown colored. AROMA- dark caramel, some fruity tones, cherry and strawberry. FLAVOR- neutral with touch of sourness, dark bitter caramel, touch of fruit and lots of cardboard. Medium bodied.

Tap @some random kebab place. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Aroma has grains, hay, starch. Flavor has grains, malts, potatoes. Tough one to finish.

Clear deep amber color, small white head. Cardoard, light grass and caramel in the nose. Light-bodied. Caramel, nasty ryeish notes, nutty notes. Not much hops to talk about. Sweetish and quite industrial.

Pet bottle at Tallinn Crap Beer Festival. Clear golden color, small white head. Cardboardish, sweetish, industrial nose. Light-bodied. Sweet, boozy, cardboardish. Joodik crap.

33cl bottle from Prisma, Tallinn. Pours dark amber with a minimal, off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma is dominating, hints of ripe, canned fruits, honey and cooked vegetables. Sweet and caramelly with light acidic notes and not much bitterness to speak of. Not very pleasant, but not undrinkable either, but still the sink is tempting...
