330mL bottle. Pours a murky light brown with a beige head. Caramel, dried berries, barley and a blend of liquor barrels on the nose. Flavour has dried berries, caramel, bready malts, amber rum, whiskey barrels. It has all of these components, which are nice, but the palate overall is a bit haphazard. Still pretty good.
Medium brown, some head. Light rum notes, Raisiny, some dates, a bit of toffee, the barrel lends a bit of toast and tannin as well. There's things that go well here, but not 100% integrated.
330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose is full of rum barrels upfront, caramel, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is a bit obscured, with plenty of rum barrels, dark dried fruits, earthiness, and bready malt. I can’t say this is refined, as that palate is rather rough; good, but not excellent.

(Keg at the brewpub, 20260816) The beer poured amber and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, herbalness and lightly toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, grass, toffee, biscuits and bitterness. Aftertaste had herbalness and bitterness. A decent hoppy brew.
