Dark brown pour with some brown foam on top. Nose really has a lot of ginger, some ashy roastiness here as well. Taste has some more ginger, relatively dry though and that ashy roast character is not a bad match there. Dry roast and some ginger spicy glow in the finish. Bitterness lingering for a while. Better than I thought but not sure how well ginger actually matches with a stout.

330ml bottle. Yellow golden pour, some white foam. Sweetish caramel hop nose, malty and scratches a bit. Citrus but less than I thought, more juicy. Tastes lightly citric, corny background, malty base. Well not that great (although can drink this), citric harsh grapefruit peel finish.

Tons of grapefruit, a bit of plastic. The mouth shows way too much plastic and grapefruit. I don’t like it. Boozy.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tartu. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Roasty aroma with dominating notes of spicy ginger; dark chocolate, dried fruits and hints of herbs. Medium sweet with ditto flavour intensity and bitterness. Tasty and quite different. Could easily have more of this. --- Beer merged from original tick of Lembetu on 15 Aug 2018 at 19:42 - Score: 7

Bottle from Viljandi Õllefestival. Aroma is fruity, citrus, grape, some hops. Flavor is sweet and bitter, very fruity, citrus, grapefruit, some malt and hops. Overall: ok, very grapefruit dominant, could use bit more beery elements.

Bottle at Koht
Dark opaque colour, small steady, beige head. Toasted aroma, strong ginger aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted, malty flavour with ginger bite. Ginger dominates here. Decent ... if you like that ginger.
