473 ml can. Pours a dark reddish brown with lots of initial carbonation but no head. Aromas of spice, wormwood, and herbal dark honey. Flavors of sour unripe dark berries and honey with the former being overly strong. Really like the nose to start; too bad there was not a follow through. Not sure on what s trying to be achieved.

473 ml can. Pours a deep dark reddish brown with full head. Aromas of baking spices, copper, dry honey, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same but overall quite metallic and thin with quite a bitter finish. Like a Gruit…

On tap at Braggot, pours black, no head. Aroma is very spicy, herbal and somewhat medicinal, with some molasses in there. Flavour is tart and medicinal, with wormwood, some tartness, and earthy. Spicy, herbal, and tart. Not into it.

On tap at Braggot, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out honey nectar, light toffee, and some bready malt. Flavour is lightly bitter, with light tartness, attenuated out honey, and gentle floral notes. Finishes tart, bitter and malty. Unusual but decent.

On tap at Braggot, pours a clear dark orange, no head. Aroma has a nice deep honey nectar character, soft floral character, and a touch of toffee. Flavour is a bit under-fermented, with bitter toffee, bready notes, and subtle honey. Probably needs a bit of time or less attenuation.

On tap at Braggot, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle floral notes, soft orange peel, and fermented out honey. Flavour is soft, with plenty of floral notes, soft orange peel, and gentle honey. Very cohesive. Pretty much as good as a season braggot can be. Good stuff.

4oz pour at the brewery. Pours dark brown. Pomegranate molasses and brown bread on the nose. Flavour has tart dark cherry pits, molasses, lots of dry wood, and bitter herbal character; sweetness from the honey is present, but restrained. The herbal astringency is a bit much. Interesting flavour profile overall, I think I like this.

4oz pour at brewery. Pours murky yellow with white head. Aroma has citrus peel, floral notes, and some funky wild yeast. Flavour has tart apples, floral notes, honey, pale malts. Surprisingly dry and light for this ABV. This is really interesting.
