Süffiger, wässrig herber Beginn. Natürlich nach Holunderblüten, feine Karbonisierung. Monotoner, herb-kräutriger Abgang. 7/8/9/8/8/8 --- Beer merged from original tick of Flammings Flammbräu Holunderbier on 06 Jan 2017 at 07:36 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: Trocken herber Beginn, in dem der Holunder deutlich erkennbar ist. Zunehmend bitter, was aber bis zum Ende im Hintergrund bleibt. Spritzig, dennoch zu trocken bleibend. Nett. 7/9/9/8/8/9

Dunkler, weich röstig-hopfiger Beginn. Seifig, moderat süß, etwas klebrig. Mittelstarke Bitterkeit, blumig, cremig hopfig werdend. Dunkles Malz ist dahinter noch erkennbar, geringe Karbonisierung. 10/11/10/10/11/10

Amber ish color with a fine head. Ok lacing. Looks good. Ok intensity in the aroma. Just a bit sweet. Also a tad sweet texture. Decent bitterness. Not really hoppy this one. A couple of months after BB. Lots of dried fruits here. On the merge to become a not so imperial barley wine. Oily texture.

Dark, almost amber color with a fine tan head. Ok lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma. A bit sweet and a quite prominent bitterness. A little bit to much dried fruits in this one. Made it quite unbalanced. Laced some citrus hops to back it up. Well I had a fine bitterness, but still an unbalanced flavor.

Looks good. Almost complete black with a fine thick tan head. The head stays there for a long time. Keep the faith mate. Ok lacing also. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Some faint peated notes. Mostly dark malt. Balanced sweetness and a moderate bitterness. Dark malt, chocolate, nutty? And some very mild peat notes. A quite decent one from Saar.
