Appearance: clear gold with a decent white head. Aroma: candied apricots, leather yeast, malt, a hint of acidity. Taste: light to medium sweet, malty and fruity. Apricots, apples, candy, somewhat acidic. Low bitterness. Mouth feel: medium body, light carbonation. Overall: pretty run of the mill.

Bottle from Spar, Ostend. Hazy red, lasting, foamy, pink head. Aroma is pure red candy ('poepegatjes'), artificial cherry, sugared yoghurt, lollipop, strawberry ice cream. Taste has very sweet red candy with cherry & strawberry flavouring, artificial & sugary in a yoghurty malt profile. Sweet candy finish, very low herbal hoppiness, dominated by a sweet fruit jenever-like alcohol glow. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Delirium Red, Kasteel Rouge, Grimbergen Rouge, etc... another sickly sweet 'red' Ale with too much alcohol for its own good. At least it does feel less industrial than other examples.

Clear pale blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are typical of the style with dominant malt sweetness and spicy yeast. A little citrus zest bitterness in the finish.

330ml can. Pours a clear blonde with a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of Belgian yeast, apple, pineapple and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of Belgian yeast, grainy malt, apple skin, banana, pineapple, white wine and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky texture and average carbonation. Enjoyable.
