Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. A dark reddish brown, borderline black, beer with a nice dark beige head. Some lacing. The aroma is quite spiced, with licorice, caused by star anise I guess, some roasted malts, dark rye bread notes, dark toffee, some raisin and dried figs, and a touch of orange and coffee. Some burnt notes too, in the far back. It's medium bodied, nicely carbonated and with a nice sweetness. More on the dry than the sweet side though. Some bitterness too. Roasted malts, charcoal hints, raisin, star anise, some cardamom, orange and coffee, and a treacle touch growing stronger in the finish. Perhaps a bit spiced this one, but it works in a way. Bottle, courtesy of Cunningham. An unclear orange colored beer with a finger-thick white head. The aroma has a chalky yeast touch, with banana, orange hints, some cloves and a touch of white bread. It's medium to full-bodied, nicely carbonated and perhaps a bit sweet. Some bitterness. The flavor has white bread, banana, cloves, hints of lemon and and good dash of orange. Some grassy hints in the swallow. Feeling more like a hefeweizen than a wit this one, but nothing special going on anyway. 210814

Kaffe, mørke chokolader, lakrids sammen med lidt chili og peber i en vel kalibrered kombination. Overmodne solbær i eftersmagen.
