Description
Purpose Brewing & Cellars is a small batch craft-brewery that focuses on handcrafted beers. We focus on three main ingredients: knowledge, experience and creativity. We blend those ingredients with fruit, wood, barrels, spices and whatever else that draws our inspiration. Every weekend we offer four or five unique beers that are different from week to week. We will always have a different barrel-aged sour on tap and, most of the time, a delicious sour beer. Come in and say hello and try some of our tasty creations.

750 mL bottle. Pours a dark, garnet color, with a fair, fine, foamy, tan head. The aroma is black bread, coriander, dried fig, rose, cedar, walnut, and mild anise. Sweet and pleasantly malty. A touch bitter. Medium to heavy body, effervescent, and velvety. Beautiful and on style.

Pint can - turbid light gold - nose is citric and softly herbal - soft texture in the mouth - strikes a nice balance between light sweetness and hints of acidity - flavors of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and herbal notes - has a nice spiciness on the tail end - that are not blazing any trails here, but they are doing a darn fine job with an over-saturated style.

16 oz. can. Pours black, with a medium, foamy, biege head. The aroma is dark chocolate, harsh coffee, toffee, and pumpernickel. Sweet and yeasty, with a light, funky bitterness. Medium body, chewy, and surprisingly thick. Nice, layered, and balanced.

Pint can - pours a moderately hazy gold - moderate, well-sustained head - creamy texture - flavor is medium-dry, with light background tartness - lemon, light pepper, banana, clove, light bready character- going in blind, I might guess it were a Hefeweizen- itβs fine - not nearly as good as I was hoping.

Bottle from the source. Clear deep golden amber color off white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of plum, dates, raisins, burnt caramel. Taste is softly sour vinous stonefruit soaked in caramel. Very tasty.

Draft at the source. Cloudy orange yellow color white head. Earthy stonefruit aroma. Taste is more tea-like still with lots of fruity esters. Tasty
