And so the story continued: I became avid home brewer with my wife Liza as professional taster. Soon we were surrounded and supported by friends who, you’ll probably guess it: love a beer as well. And so ArtWery was born.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', best before August 2023. Clear, deep reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite resiny, rather fruity aroma of marmalade, pine, orange and some grapefruit. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity and rather resiny taste of marmalade, grapefruit, pine, some tobacco and hints of orange, followed by a short, gently bitter, quite resiny finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Red IPA, at least nicely hoppy but a little thin for my liking.

330ml bottle. Crystal clear, redd-ish, copper-ish, amber colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, very slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, off-white head. Resinous, piney, slightly citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of orange, mandarine, tangerine, a touch of grapefruit, rye, red berries, whiffs of Roquefort cheese (at least the spicy, mouldy part). Taste is dry, citrusy fruity hoppy, minimally spicy, rye malty, hints of lemon, orange, a touch of grapefruit, red berries, a minimally waxy touch. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth, dry palate, mildly prickly carbonation. Would be ridiculous to find an exerted parallel to suprematism here - spicy red IPA.
