Description
State of Kind Brew Co launched in spring 2021. As you can imagine, it’s taken a fair bit of planning, and yes, you’re right, we basically started a brewery in the middle of a global pandemic. This isn’t quite as crazy as it sounds. In a funny way, it’s ideal: if we can make it work now, we can make it work any time, whatever the world throws at us. We’re launching first as a gypsy brewer, with four gorgeous core beers created using spare capacity on the premises of some kind, creative and brilliant brewing friends. But we don’t plan to stay on the move for long. Once the pubs have fully re-opened and we’ve recovered from the celebrations, the plan is to launch our very own state-of-the-art brewery and taproom. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, by the time Christmas 2021 rolls around you can come and say cheers in person...
It opened its own brewery and taproom in Summer 2022.

Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - a soft pinky-reddy, almost rose water colour. Fluffy pinkish-white head. Nose - blackberry and earth. Light raspberry eventually. Taste - blackberry again, mainly. Funky and sour edge. Palate - light bodied, light fruit tannins and some sour and funk on the finish. Overall - decent.

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Fruity, citrus, orange, floral aroma and taste. An unusual pale ale, but it's not bad.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Tiny white head, near-clear warm golden body, spotty lacing. Promising aromas of ripe citrus and cereal malts. Balances malt-fruity flavours of citrus, lemony hops, and cereal malts. Malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Well bodied. Tasty stuff. (Tromsø, 31.08.2023).

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Steady white head over an unclear golden body, rich lacing. Rather fresh smell of peaches and pineapple. Pineapple up front to the taste character supported by malted wheat. Hop fruity tail, bittersweet. Soft on the swallow. Decent. (Tromsø, 31.08.2023).
