Bottled. Cloudy very dark brown, rich but brief head. Fruity nose with licorice and coffee. Sweet and solid bodied with pepper, milk chocolate and caramel and lots of coffee. Tarry finish with some resiny bitterness.

Black with a ruby hue. Lasting tan head. Aroma of fruit, chocolate and grain. Sweet, grainy malt flavour with some caramel, licorice and roast character. Cloying sweet after a short while

Draft. A very dark brown beer with a dark brown bead. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, bread, and lots of caramel, as well as a bit of roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle 500ml.Clear dark dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, caramel, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt and hop bitter, licorice, coffee, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110208]
