Description
An independent brewery founded in 1996 and employee owned since 2024, we like to think that we blend creativity and innovation with heritage and tradition, reflecting these values across our beers. Our house style could typically be described as pale and hoppy, but that’s not all we can do! As the beer world has evolved so have we, covering a wide range of styles and continually pushing the boundaries of what we can create.

On cask at SIBA BeerX - A late addition, not in the programme. Pale straw yellow body, light white head. Nose is a soft IPA style citrus, some grapefruit and spicy oranges. Taste though is a watered down version of this, and lets itself down a little bit here. Clean finish and a medium body.

On caskat Cloisters. Appearance - black but chinks of brown. Nice head. Nose - elusive but some very dry roast and liquorice coming through. Taste - more of the same and some dark chocolate too. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Overall - good stout if a bit quiet on the nose.

On handpump at Cloisters, Edinburgh, Saturday 15th March Pours pale gold with a nice white head. fruity but then tails off to be a tiny bit wishy-washy but despite ny apparent crticism it is actually very pleasant. Citrussy with a finish that is dry . A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Hand-pulled half-pint in The Station Hotel, Oakengates on 17th Feb 2014. Pours a lovely golden hue with a good white crown. This is a 50/50 type brew of equal flavours and aromas with both the hops and malts enjoying themselves. There is a dry hop finish but otherwise the brew really is a blend that struggles to give any overriding character or flavouring. OK but lacks individualism to set it apart.
