Description
An independent brewery founded in 1996 and employee owned since 2024, we like to think that we blend creativity and innovation with heritage and tradition, reflecting these values across our beers. Our house style could typically be described as pale and hoppy, but that’s not all we can do! As the beer world has evolved so have we, covering a wide range of styles and continually pushing the boundaries of what we can create.

Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 08-10-08 Pours mid amber with a slight haze and a white head, it looks decent enough. Some soapy hops in the mouth, very soft feeling, restrained but ever present bitterness and yes I suppose there is a simple bread like quality to this beer, its ok. Bitter and fruity and once again I get the bread like quality to this beer, its good stuff marked up on re-rate. A6 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Cask, Bar Fringe, Manchester. Clear, golden colour with a dissipating, yet lingering white head. Aroma and flavour had some sweet malt and was gently bitter. Damned ok.

Hand-pulled cask, served at the right drinking temperature at The North East England Bar, GBBF 08. Black-rusty, naked body. Sweet aroma of caramel malt. Coffee flavoured supported by sweet liquorice. Rich in taste, but easy to drink (half pint, shared with Geir, 09.08.2008).

Cask, somewhere in Derby 17-08-08 I’m not quite sure where I had this and I even got the name wrong in my sketchy notes I called it Langley. Anyway if this indeed the correct beer it poured mid golden with a nice white head and with good citrussy aromas and flavours, it was a little light and a touch thin but otherwise another very good Abbeydale beer.
