Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of light coffee, marmalade. Taste is bitter orange, chocolate. Thin finish.

Keg at hanging bat... Soft roast.. Big sweet spiced ginger nose... Little cold... Big gingerbread cake... Definitely needs drunk warmer and i suspect cask would suit this way better... But its got complex Jamaican ginger cake... Wow just wow

On cask. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - toffee and biscuits with a light floral note lurking. Taste - more of the same. Fruity as well as floral. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - decent ale.

Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Dark amber in colour. It’s very stated in its gingerbread. The ’Mild’ in its name should be dropped.

6 negroni ale. Cask at the Hanging Bat. Pours hazy chestnut brown with a thin white head. Aromas of red fruit, almonds. Taste is almond biscuit. Not as bitter as I was expecting. Sticky finish.
