355mL bottle. Pours black. Roast, ashy smoke, and dried on the nose; smells a lot like smoked mackerel. Flavour is smoky and fishy, dark sugars, iodine, fish sauce. Mouthfeel is quite full. The fishiness is weird and throws the whole beer off.

On tap at Drunken Dog, pours black with a medium brown head. Aroma definitely reveals the pistachios upfront—more like a pistachio sponge cake of some sort—with a touch of cocoa detectable and some sugars. Flavour reveals more of a somewhat artificial pistachio syrup, with chocolate syrup drowning most else out. Not much malt complexity—the base just provides a template for the nut and chocolate syrup. Not so satisfying.

On tap at Drunken Dog, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of cocoa, marshmallow, maybe a touch of vanilla. Flavour has some cinnamon-infused coffee, cocoa, marshmallow, and dry toasted malt. Thankfully not very sweet, and that cinnamon-coffee character works pretty well. Pleasant.

On tap at Drunkendog Condesa. Pours black with a light brown head. Lots of chocolate on the nose. Flavour has chocolate, bitter cacao. Not getting much pistachio. More like a thick, chocolatey stout.

On tap at Drunkendog Condesa. Pours black with a tan head. Tons of chocolate powder and marshmallows on the nose. Flavour kind of falls flat, much drier than the nose suggests. Dry cacao, mostly. Not a huge fan.

Thanks omhper! Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is blackcurrants, some blackcurrant leaf tea, mild toasted, some toffee and mild old coffee to it. Flavour is blackcurrant, some toasted and mild roasted elements with some old bittery coffee to it. Smooth. Bramling X in loads for the black curranty elements?

This one's rough around the edges, some sour tinges and decent enough though I was hoping for more.
