2000ml bottle. Clear, dark chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and small, more loosely bubbly than frothy, fading, off-white head. Toasty, bready and slightly fruity aroma, hints of pumpernickel and blueberries, a touch of dark honey. Taste is sweet, sugary, hints of burnt caramel, pumpernickel, dark honey, some treacle, maple sirup, a fruity touch of blueberry and citric acid. Slightly sugary and artificial of course, ot unattractive, though.

Big liter bottle thanks to a student. Pours a dark brown color with a small carbonated head, looks like cola. A big malty nose .Sweet berries, unfermented malts, wort. Very sweet and grainy. Actually nice. Not beer, but a nice cola like drink.

Plastic bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Deep amber-brown. Aroma of caramel, lactic acid, a bit of rye, a citric note, a bit of cookies. Sweet flavor with caramel, a bit of rye, a bit of cookies, light acidity. Light-bodied, fizzy, a bit sticky. Quite refreshing.

Huge PET bottle. Clear brown, no head, soft drink-like bubbles. Aroma is pretty inviting - bread, sour cherries, cheap red wine, malt vinegar. And then it is a bit too sweet really. But there’s some berries and enough of a hint of acid to make it refreshing. Really a soft drink, but pleasant and has some complexity.

At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, clear brown color, aroma of artificial berry fruit syrup, same flavor with a hint of something citric and maybe a hint of caramel, almost no hint of kvass. Bad.
