About
Odyssey is a small family run brewery established in the rural surrounds of a National Trust estate in Herefordshire in 2014. We brew in a building that is at least 400 years old but our beers are modern and forward looking.
Because we are small, independent and committed to staying that way, we focus primarily on only two styles of beer - hop forward (of any colour) and big, indulgent stouts, with the occasional Barley Wine thrown in for good measure. Our hoppy beers are unfined and hazy but we seek to retain some bitterness and drinkability - East Coast brews with a West Coast vibe.
All of our beer is produced for keg or can.

At the Beer in Hand, Hereford, June 2016. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. A good hoppy beer, with plenty of tropical fruits, grassy hops, slightly creamy mlats and a dryish finish.

Keg at Six Deg North. It pours haY amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, rich, tinned peach, nectarine, stewed orange, candy and marmalade.The taste is bitter - sweet, brown bread, stewed orange, peach, marmalade, oily, resin, alcohol warmth and some spice with a dry, resinous finish. 500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie. Pours a deep chestnut amber with a good frothy off-white head. Toffee & pine in the aroma. Taste is smooth, almost syrupy malt with a brisk bitterness. The name really puts blood in the mind when drinking this, not real blood but rather fake blood with light berry flavouring. My first introduction to Odyssey and it’s not bad at all.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Almost clear brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is soft and has modest carbonation. Tangy dark malts with tangy fruits. A nice touch of fresh orange and lesser orange peel. Mellow dark chocolate on the finish. Nicely joined up.
