Because we are small, independent and committed to staying that way, we focus primarily on only two styles of beer - hop forward (of any colour) and big, indulgent stouts, with the occasional Barley Wine thrown in for good measure. Our hoppy beers are unfined and hazy but we seek to retain some bitterness and drinkability - East Coast brews with a West Coast vibe.
All of our beer is produced for keg or can.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby/brown body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grated carrot, caramel and blood orange. Flavour of honey, marmalade and burnt caramel with a peppery finish. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Very soft fizz. When it comes to hoppy beers, this brewery is on a par with the likes of The Kernel, Arbor and Cloudwater. I also like that they bottle in 500ml only, regardless of the ABV.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Deep, ruby red. Soft haze. Thin, dense, lasting, lacing, beige head. Handsome. Nose has fruity, spicy, marmalade hop. Notes of burnt grapefruit. Some candied orange. Touch of oily herb. Taste is jammy and spicy marmalade sweet. Some punchy hop bitterness. Lovely mouthfeel. Easy drinking, and nicely smooth. Bitterness rises and lingers on the finish. Not big and in your face hoppy, but it’s a grower, and drinks super easy.

Clear amber, light bitter grapefruit aroma. Taste is grapefruity too, quite sour. Bitter aftertaste. Quite tasty for the strength.

From odyssey. Red color. Served warm fr what i am accustomed to. Thin but laci g head. Dry aroma, some rotting plants in fall weather. Some malt sweetness, but more dry hops. Sort of a sweet, thick hop juice. Above average.

Keg from the Pint Shop, Cambridge. Light milky yellow, reasonably cloudy with plentiful visible carbonation. Fresh pineapple competes with gentle pine resin in the heady scent. Full bittersweet fruity taste, followed by a surprisingly long bitter finish. Piña colada in the aftertaste. The wheat adds to a fuller mouthfeel, and the amount of carbonation is perfectly judged. Superb.

Bottle from Bridgend Service Station. Black body with a medium tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of smoked ham, maple syrup, treacle and melted dark chocolate. Flavour of coffee, more treacle, burnt wood and meaty malts. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Weak fizz. This doesn’t quite hit the mark for me - it’s thinner than I was hoping for and I feel that the flavours don’t quite gel. I’d probably prefer it without the addition of smoked malt.

Bottles - ’Dream Brother V2’ (4.8% ABV) and ’Dream Brother’ (5.0% ABV). Hazy bronze body with a thick white head. Steady carbonation. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple juice, pine and green mango. Flavour of crushed apple, orange, lemon and grass. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Lots of crisp fruit flavours and hop bitterness. Although the recipe difference between ’Dream Brother V2’ and ’Dream Brother’ is marginal - slightly more Citra used in the latter - I much preferred the magic of V2, which was creamier, less sharp and I rated as 4.6.
