When we started this company, our goal was to keep it as straightforward as possible: to craft flavors and experiences that the people of Maine hadn’t had before, and serve them as fresh as possible. Over the years, as the business has grown, we are now able to share our beers with people in other areas – regionally, nationally, and internationally – but Maine always comes first. We strive to take care of those things closest to us, and let that radiate outward: our staff, our processes for making beer, our tap rooms and loyal customers, and the surrounding communities that support us. Everything we do is in support of these things, we are nothing without them.

Can at the hanging bat. Pours hazy yellow, nose is toffee, grapefruit, pineapple, taste is dry, toffee, light citrus.

Very hazy light yellow color. Smells fantastic. Lovely lemon and tangerine aroma. Light mouthfeel. Good finish. Dense oatmeal flavor with loads of oranges

Draught at the Thirsty Pig, 7/10/16.
Just a hilariously ugly, muddy, drab, mauve-dark amber. Beige head atop is large and well-retained. The first New England-style amber IPA I’ve seen.
Juiciness is there in force, with cherry, melon, lime and kiwi confronted by a pleasing graininess from the specialty malts. Fresh yeast adding lots of minerality and light earth with a hint of ash on the end. But the juicy, fruity, succulent hops persist and are joined by light honey-vanilla-caramel suggestions, softening the graininess somewhat. No alcohol or flaw.
Very soft texture with ample, tight carbonation and plentiful citrus notes mixing with melon, cherry and sweet lime. Graininess almost becomes problematic/scratchy but not quite and it actually dries out and balances the base malt and hugely juicy, fruity hops nicely. More citrus lingering on the end with moderate to moderately-high (but still tolerable) bitterness and no alcohol or flaw.

Draught at King’s Head, 7/1/16.
Heavily, heavily hazy/soupy, white golden with blonde/hay highlights and a large, well-retained, white head. Not sure that a lime lager should have the NE IPA haze treatment, but I suppose it’s not really too important.
The nose has so much lime that I didn’t even know it was lime at first (had no idea what this beer was at first). It smelled like intense amounts of coriander; though I guess that lime and fresh coriander are somewhat similar. Very little else escapes the lime’s grasp.
The flavor is punishingly overdone with lime. Incredibly so. Right up there with Mystic’s Fistbump the Void and Austmann’s Miss Saison as far as overdone adjunct additions go. There’s little else here other than carbonation, malt/corn/rice texture and just brutally overdone lime. Difficult to drink much of it. Very disappointing beer from a brewer I’m usually very excited about.

Poured from a pint can it is a cloudy golden color with a slight head. The aroma is citrus and the taste is a strong bitter white grapefruit taste

16oz can from the brewery pours a very murky yellow with some frothy, lacing white head. Nose has soap and lemon and straw, yeast,light honey comb. Flavor has a little white flour, then lemon, soap mild grasses. Finishes a but thick for something so low in ABV but quite drinkable too. Super crushable.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a murky dark gold with some sudsy, white head. Nose has honey comb and orange peel, tropical fruit, candlewax. Flavor is chewy with honey and a little butterscotch, then mango and muddled melon. Full bodied and sticky finish.

Sampled at the brewery, pours a hazy, murky gold with some soapy, white head. Nose has lemon and grist, a little lemon tea, something a bit herbal like lavender. Flavor is tannic with lemon and herb tea, some white flour, some muddled grasses. Finishes full bodied and a touch chalky. Definitely didn’t get the hype.
