Description
When we started this company, our goal was to keep it as straightforward as possible: to craft flavors and experiences that the people of Maine hadn’t had before, and serve them as fresh as possible. Over the years, as the business has grown, we are now able to share our beers with people in other areas – regionally, nationally, and internationally – but Maine always comes first. We strive to take care of those things closest to us, and let that radiate outward: our staff, our processes for making beer, our tap rooms and loyal customers, and the surrounding communities that support us. Everything we do is in support of these things, we are nothing without them.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Ariel. Clear golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma, kinda "green", with nice fruitiness, weed and some cat piss. Flavor is quite dry with "green" and fruity hops and nice bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Can from MrBarleywine, thanks for the opportunity Mike! Slightly hazy deep straw color with a huge bubbly white head that persists forever. Aromas of earthy citrus tropical pine resin and dankness. Oh yeah that smells good. Light bready malt, maybe. The flavor is much the same as the aroma but adds a bit of alcohol. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Very nice ipa I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Hazy yellow with a 2 finger white head. Fluffy. Nose is citra and mosaic and simcoe. Pine with a bursting nectarine and lime citrus nose. Great mouthfeel. Like a well shaken fresh squeezed lemon like soda. Lots of lemon peel zest and rind. Chewy and acidic. Sort of a mix between biscuit malt, rice and grapefruit/lemon juice juiced whole so you get pulp and all. Refreshing bit couldn’t drink more than 2-3 glasses.

16oz can thanks to Toby. Pours out a nice light golden topped with a white head. Nose is floral hops and a little cereal malt. Taste is as the nose with a nice floral note and the cereal malts.

In the can @ home, bronused by Daisy Duke. Merci ! Pours a pale, hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma is spicy, garlic / onion, dank hops. Some grapefruit and crackery malts. In the mouth, the malts are fairly minimal with some toast / cracker notes. Tangerine and guava. Spicy hops. Low bitterness. Crushable and good.

Draft Great Lost Bear, unclear gold with respectable head retention. Great aroma! Citrus, pine and big grapefruit with traces of malt.

The flavor is real bright. Upfront huge grapefruit with grain and malt body. The finish displays citrus and pine notes to boot! Lighter in body with active tingle on the tongue. Overall this took be by surprise how great this IPA is crafted, can’t wait to try more from this brewer, well done!
