Can. Just unclear gold with a brief white head. Aroma of oranges, some peach and bread. Sweet with fruit and then pine at the end. Moderate bitterness. Not bad.

Can for Matesfest20 curated by Moon Dog. Gold. Floral nose. Slightly barnyard flavours with loads of what I assume is hibiscus. Fine but not my cup of tea.

Bottle from Winerack at home after camping. Pitch black pour with zero head. Inky and flat looking. Aroma is vanilla, wood, leather, chocolate, winter spices - checks all the bourbon barrel-aged stout boxes for sure. Taste is the same with rich chocolate and vanilla, leather, dried dark fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg (the amburana? nice and less overwhelming than other beers with this spice addition), and alcohol. Could have a bit more bitterness to balance sweet richness. Palate is rich and slick, but slight carbonation keeps it from being too much. Very nice.

Can from Brewcraft at home, alongside Good Beer Project’s Lemon Ice Tea IPA. Hazy nearly opaque dull yellow pour with fine white head. Aroma is lemon vanilla cream - strong vanilla over candied lemon zest. Taste is similar, with strong vanilla, but lemon is sharp and bitter, in a good way. Light carbonation. Lingering lemon cream sweetness. A great version of what it says on the can - lemonade milkshake. Haven’t had it with a Honbo burger but can imagine it would go great. Would get again but not seek out.

Can from Winerack at home. So fresh! Got two last week, first one was just a couple days after canning! Translucent light cream golden pour with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is bright lime, peach, mango, orange pith. Very nice. Taste is similar but a bit more dominated by citrus pith, with some tropical juice and pine, less other fruit. Palate is smooth and juicy with an effervescent tingly bitterness. Some alcohol warmth along with prickly pith bitterness on finish. Very very good. Heroes’ best DIPA so far I think!

Can. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is powdered sugar, pineapples, exotic fruits, dank, some tea. Taste is pineapples, green tea like, not as sweet as the smell, quite a bitter-herbal finish that is reminiscent of green tea. Medium carbonation, mild spark. Nice drinker!

Can. Hazy amber, low carb, golden big lace. Nice lychee, lime, stonefruit hops, light metal. Medium light mellow body, sweet base, light fruit sirup, pineapple, light onionny, spicy green tea finish.

Can. Malty aroma and taste, herbal notes, medium bitter. Medium body, malty herbal bitter finish. Ok.

Can from Brewcraft at home, alongside Crazy Rich Lupulins, another excellent double hazy IPA from HK. Lulu is lighter and much more opaque - creamy golden straw yellow. Thin dense creamy white head. Aroma is lemon zest that’s more sweet than tart, white peach, pineapple - super sweet and juicy. Taste is sweet tropical fruit and lemon zest, then strong pithy bitterness, hefty booze, resin, unexpectedly dry finish. Palate is incredibly soft and pillowy, light but present carbonation. Lasting pithy tingle. Very very good. Definitely top 2-3 favorite Heroes beers.
