Christmas Eve Beers #4. Golden pale ale that's traditional hoppy in taste, easy and sessionable rather than seasonal.

Holmfirth 'Last Of The Summer Wine' Tour & Bar Crawl, Beer#12. Good looking appearance being hazy golden in colour with a small head. First beer in the next conurbation from Holmfirth. Clegg's house in the show was also in the next conurbation up the valley. It has a sweeter tropical fruit aroma and taste, which is towards passion fruit in the taste part of this brew, citrus still available in aroma.

Cask at the Pup & Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, herbal. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a yeasty, herbal, floral, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nothing like the earlier ratings suggest. Hopefully they served me the right beer!

Much needed after completing my first ascent of Pendle Hill earlier, with a very apt beer name as the hill has a foreboding appearance from a distance, but is tranquil once up. Smooth tasting, lovely looking dark mild, with a light roasted to sweet dark malty aroma and taste. Rare full pint order for me!

Beer number #5 tried at the Skipton Beer Festival 2025. A hazy west coast style! Golden with a hopped bitterness that lingers and hints of tropical fruit.
