Tap at Vilniaus Alus. Cloudy yellow with lace. Bready, spicy, creamy nose, crisp lemon, cinnamon, banana, melon. Very complex and original. Tangy orange and lemon flaovr, spices, cake-like. Rich and delicious. Had it also at Snekitus and it was far less good. This is the rating for the best sample.

200 ml bottle from Vailniaus Alus. Dark, murky, brown, flat. Very spicy nose, ginger, cinnamon, like mulled wine, also caramel. Spicy, sweet flavor, caramel, plus raisins, tons of spice. Gingerbread. Crazy stuff. Enjoyable dessert beer. Hides the booze well.

200 ml bottle from Vilniaus Alus. Malty nose, orange, honey, grains, apple, pear, white grapes. Honey gold-orange color, flat. Light, tingly carbonation. Silky, oily body. Sweet and fruity, peach and apple andnsweet orange, homey. Tangy finish with some peppery hops and alcohol. Decent, a bit simple, rather like a strong heller bock.

Small coarseish beige head. Clear deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Spicy ginger, raisins, and cinnamon aroma with alcoholic honey notes. Sweet-dryish raisiny cinnamon and ginger taste with lavender and Coca-Cola notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft, and slightly hot mouthfeel. Dry-astringent spicy cinnamon and lavender aftertaste with raisiny ginger and cardamom notes. Amazing combination of spices. Hardly ever does such a powerful spicy flavour come out as well as this. Harmonic, drinkable, complex, and interesting. (0.5l bottle, from Bamb Alyne, Vilnius.)

First rating: Medium white head. Slightly hazy yellow body with carbonation. Earthy dusty oily aroma with nutty floral notes. Classic Lithuanian aroma. Sweet-dryish earthy dusty grainy taste with sugary orangey mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish orangey mealy powdered sugar aftertaste with herbal notes. Lovely. Drinkable, complex, and very Lithuanian. (0.5l bottle, from Bamb Alynė, Vilnius.) 6,4,7,3,14=3.4
Second rating: Medium offwhite head. Hazy deep yellow body with light carbonation. Light mealy dusty strawy aroma. Sweetish mealy herbal taste with strawy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Faintly dry mealy fruity herbal aftertaste with strawy notes. It’s OK, but not very exciting. (0.5l bottle, from Bambalyne, Vilnius.) 5,4,6,3,12=3.0

Aroma: caramel, very weak roasty notes. Very poor head, black colour. Medium sweetness, no bitterness. Oily feel. As a plus, the alcohol does not have a negative impact on the taste, but apart from this, the beer has not much to offer. It was a bit unpleasant in the end due to the sweetness and caramel aroma. Bottle.

33cl bottle from The Beer Store, Warszawa. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Moderate fruity and wheaty aroma with notes of apples, malt and spices. Medium sweet, with light sourness and a mild bitterness in the finish. Not expired, but doesn’t taste very fresh. Quite okay, but hardly memorable.

50 cl bottle (5,2%) @ Timo A, BBE 03/2013
Aroma is really strong on butter and almost nothing else. Perhaps hints of hay. Flavour is also rather high on butter and diacetyl. Also hints of cardboard, some slight honey and grainy notes. No signs of wheat, but definite signs of a Lithuanian beer.
