On tap at GOAL., pours jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is decadent, with plenty of coconut, almonds and macadamia nut — very oily and slick. Flavour is very rich and nutty, with plenty of almond and macadamia dominating upfront, followed by a blast of coconut and a touch of vanilla. Very oily, thick palate, with plenty of sugars without being cloying. Rich, dessert-like pastry goodness. Delicious.

On tap at GOAL., pours jet black with a tiny head. Aroma has notes of coffee upfront, with a touch of vanilla, and plenty of dark sugars. Flavour indeed tastes like a mocha latte, with big coffee and cocoa notes upfront, with a giant splash of vanilla. Nothing elegant here but the flavours are so harmonious that it doesn't matter. Tasty.

On tap at GOAL., pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is decadent, with big marshmallow, vanilla, chocolate and dark sugars. Flavour is extremely rich and sweet, with intense marshmallow and dark sugars dominating; there's some cocoa and vanilla in there too. Rather fluffy and light on the palate — no roast whatsoever, so it comes across quite airy. Very fun pastry stout.

On tap at GOAL., pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of spicy, grassy hops, some piney bitterness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is full of tangy hops, some grass, and light pine. Crisp and bitter finish, with plenty of spicy grassiness. Good.

On tap at GOAL., pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out soft piney hops, soft biscuity malt, and a touch of melon. Flavour is crisp and biting, with bitter piney, grassy hops, and a crisp biscuity malt. Finishes grassy, spicy and somewhat piney with ample bitterness. Good.

On tap at GOAL., pours a mostly clear dull golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of dank, piney and tropical melon-y hops dominating, with a soft biscuity malt base. Flavour is perhaps a little less tropical, with lots of dank hops, pine, some melon, and dry bisicity malt base. Bright, vibrant and tropical finish, with just a touch of residual sweetness. Good stuff, but not quite excellent.

Tap @MBCC 2024, Blue Session. Oily black, no head. Dark malty, mild roasty and jammy aroma. Sweet flavour, sweet beetroot without the earthyness, jammy sweetness.

500ml (thx, Brian!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: coconut with kinda wood glue notes, a bit earthy. Taste: Structures-like coconut (overtoasted probably?), harsh vanilla beans, moderately inky and roasty. Overall: lacks balance quite significantly IMHO.

Dark brown. No head. The aroma is a lot of coconut, and that's kind of what's jumping out. Body is definitely thin, especially for the style. There's still lots of coconut, which is done well. It almost makes you not notice the thinness. I can assure you this sort of beer I do not wish to pint, so may as well make it burly as fuck. There is a gap between expectation and reality here.
