Tap at Goal, North Park, San Diego, 23rd February 25. This was a surprise for me - never heard of Ube, the beer poured a hazy soupy pink red! The aroma and the taste were really good, fruity, the ube of course and the combination worked - my most unusual beer from the San Diego Beer trip of 2025

Undated can drunk 3/6/25.
Clear, bright, golden-brass. Massive, frothy/foamy, white head, well-retained.
Woody, lightly herbal hop is subtle and there's a mild, lightly mineral-laden yeast character that feels authentic. Malts are a bit evasive but an ever-so-slight honey edge on the finish seems delicate and pleasant. Clean, for sure, which is the important part and in my mind, the yeast is most prominent here, which is always a plus in my book.
Pepper and herb with a round fruitiness that's a bit unusual but not problematic. Cracker, biscuit and light honey fill in and create a substantial, if somewhat light and airy texture. Very easygoing and easy drinking with a light-to-moderate bitterness. Wish the hop had a little more genuine herb/pepper. As is, it feels a bit woody and blandly bitter. But a solid rendition skirting the line between a quencher and a more deeply-malted, satisfying drinker. Lingering lemon, pepper and light honey and biscuit.

16 oz can in a trade with Clarkvv. Thank you! Aroma is soft herb and grass.
Flavor has a bolder amount of herb and pine with an almost smoke like hint over the palate. That is odd. It doesn’t taste bad. But not sure if this light smoked wood was intentional.

Very nice mix of fruits, balanced, slightly sweet and tart. Taste is along the same lines, very nicely balanced in terms of complexity and mouthfeel. Very good!

Roasted malt, chcocolate, vanilla, coffee. Very thick and sweet, some weird ube like notes. This one is way too syrupy. Ok.

Nice mix of pineapple and mango. Taste is quite sophisticated for the style - perfect body, balanced fruits combination, very smooth. Great!

Aroma is ube, vanilla, some chocolate, and a bit of roasted malt. Taste is along the same lines. Very thick and quite sweet. Finishes with molasses and dark chcocolate notes. Quite goos.
