tap at the brewpub - I followed up the flight of dry stout variations with their imperial stout. This pours black and has an aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roast malt. The flavor is on the sweet side up front with hops and roasted flavors then balancing it out. It's full bodied compared to the dry stouts and one would expect, though it's on the light side for an imperial stout. This is a pretty good beer though for the style it could stand to be more intense.

tap at the brewpub - Very dark brown, small light tan head. It smells of roasted malt and coffee and the taste is similar. Smooth and medium bodied, it's a very drinkable dry stout though nothing particularly stands out.

tap at the brewpub - Very dark brown pour, small light tan head. It has an aroma of spices and roast malt. The flavor is very spicy. I can really taste the anise. There's also a lot of other spices that make me think of Christmas along with some roast malt that I wish was a little stronger. Different and okay.

tap at the brewpub - Very dark brown pour. The aroma is heavy on the ginger with some roast malt as well. The flavor is also full of ginger. It dominates the flavor with the roasty character taking a back seat. It's fairly light bodied for a stout. It's an interesting beer though I wish the base stout had a little stronger flavor to compete with the ginger.

tap at the brewpub - Pours very dark brown with a light tan head that laces well. It smells of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is similar with the somewhat dry finish. Medium bodied. Good stout.
