(Thx! for sharing) Sampled draft @ Italian BEER Week-End #5. Dark hazy orange, little tanned head. Nose is fruity peach, USA hops, low soap, sweetness. Taste is sweet soap, sugar, USA hops are bit drowned out by the former, remainder of the beer is a bit bland with non-favorable notes of sugar & soap, body is likewise.

BIPA from an Italian craft brewery near the coast in Lazio, bottle from Barboteur in Brussels. Very densely rocky, whipped cream-like, pale beige, heavily lacing head resting on top of a black beer with strings of vivid sparkling on the edges. Aroma of pine resin, grapefruit peel, black olive, dried seaweed, very bitter chocolate, coffee grounds, cured meat and something sulfuric not unlike fried egg or even pure yellow sulfur. Soft and โ€™cleanโ€™ fruitiness, dried berries, almost no sweetness but lots of umami (black olive or even dried meat) with a sourish edge, softish carbo, very nutty malt middle with heavily toasted bittering aspect as well as noticeable deep rye spiciness whilst the sourish bitterness of roasted barley cuts through, almost ashy, leading to a long bitter, very piney, resinous hoppy finish, which even becomes a little bit harsh after a while. Uncompromizing Euro BIPA, bitter and very umami.

On tap @So Good (Rome). Pours golden with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, grass. Flavour is quite balanced, light malt profile with a medium and persistent bitter end. Medium to light body, light carbonation. Not so elegant but nice.
