16oz can from the brewery. Sort of intense roasty tone, coffee touches. It is nice that it isn't sickly sweet, but still has that adjuncty flavored feel too. Grew on me each sip. Actually has the Export Stout backdrop, but also leans into the vanilla and cacao nib. Unique, good.

16oz can. Roasty black malt tones, bittersweet bakers chocolate. A solid enough example of the style. Some pleasant upfront bitterness and balance before fading into a sweet finish. Hyper sessionable, grew on me throughout sipping at it. Good.

Can at RT. The saphir takes it in unfortunate modern direction. A decent beer, just not on the World Class level. Kind of heavy, IPLish for the style. Soapy aroma..sort of a let down.

Tap at RT. Still has some hairspray, dulled out a little by the brett. Not overly impressive, sort of out of control yeast tone coupled with mild brett. Unique I suppose, but unruly, unimpressive overall. Grew on me as I sipped on it.

Tap at RT. Not really an appealing aroma, some farty aspirin tones. Doesn't really taste like real fruit. Pleasant body, some distant redeeming qualities but overall not that impressive.

On the hand pump at RT. Really solid, true mild. Refreshing, mellow chocolate tones. Perfect body. Great.

16oz can. Rich, deep malt depth. Nutty toffee, caramel, chocolate. A lot going on, but very drinkable, well made. Unique, I wouldn't call it a classical example. Really good.

Draft at Orange & Brew. Opaque black body with a bit of brown edge. Thin ring of foam. Nose has lots of sweet cocoa to it, and some definite roast malt. Taste, again, had chocolate to it, a little bit of cherry, too, both sweet and tart. A little hard to catch the vanilla on all this flavor. Though it does assert itself further down. Nice sweetness to it, like from a chocolate bar. But then a little edge of bitter cocoa powder, too. A fine, complex foreign style stout. Mouthfeel is a little light, which also goes down well. 8-5-8-4-17

16 oz can from Orange and Brew, Oct. '21. Dank PNW hop smell under the tab. Pours a solid yellow have under a spongy white head, dwindling to leave some lace behind. Taste does not have the resin one would expect up from, but a definite citrus in the lead. Almost a kind of candy taste, with some sweetness left on my lip. But not sticky. As hazies go, it's got a rather light malt taste, too. Just a little bit different and fun to drink.
