Keg at St Andrews Brewing South Street. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium, fluffy beige head. The aroma is toasted nut, brown bread, rivita, touch of toffee/caramac and walnut whip. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, nutty, woody, earthy, brown bread, rivita and leafy hops with a dry, toasted nut finish. Light+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Easy going and drinkable stuff.

Bottle as Meldrum House Lager. It pours clear golden yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuits, bread & bitter pudding and custard creams. The taste is crisp, dry, quite clean, bitter - sweet, lightly toasty grains, doughy white bread, custard cream biscuits, cereal and hay with a dry finish. Average body and moderate carbonation.
