Keg at St Andrews Brewing South Street. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium, fluffy beige head. The aroma is toasted nut, brown bread, rivita, touch of toffee/caramac and walnut whip. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, nutty, woody, earthy, brown bread, rivita and leafy hops with a dry, toasted nut finish. Light+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Easy going and drinkable stuff.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow, rather big head. Medium body. Flavour is malty, sweet, a bit of bubble gum hop flavour, light pine, sweet fruitiness. Alright.

Cask at The Guildford Arms. Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aromaz of light citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is light sweet. Decent body for the strength.

Bottle as Meldrum House Lager. It pours clear golden yellow with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweetish, doughy white bread, rich tea biscuits, bread & bitter pudding and custard creams. The taste is crisp, dry, quite clean, bitter - sweet, lightly toasty grains, doughy white bread, custard cream biscuits, cereal and hay with a dry finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Perfectly drinkable lagerbier. Fairly malty.

Can from Ko: pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is citrusy, biscuit, some soapy pine. Taste is lightly bitter. Standard old school IPA notes. Fine.

440ml can from St Andrews. Black with a thick tan head. Aroma is coffee, cream and vanilla, flavour is similar with a hint of liquorice

Can from Luvians St Andrews. It pours clear golden with a a medium fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, fragrant, floral, zippy lemon - lime, biscuity malt, cereal and grass. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, snappy, floral, slightly soapy, lemony citrus, lime, cereal, grassy, toasty grain, peppery spice and biscuit with a a drying finish. Average body and fine prickly carbonation. Decent enough strong golden ale.
